What are good indicators of an oily scalp?
Whereas regular flaking and itchiness can result from low moisture levels in the scalp, clinical dandruff is a medical condition caused by inflammation of the hair follicle and an overgrowth of a type of yeast. It is characterized by excess sebum production, which can cause scaly white to yellowish patches to form in oily areas. Moroccanoil Oily Scalp Treatment is specially formulated to address symptoms of an over-oily scalp while providing a soothing aromatic experience (stress may also contribute to dandruff). For more serious scalp conditions, we recommend that clients seek advice from a medical professional.
